We created a new service for organizations to publish their open data. The goal of Columby was to publish open data in the best way possible. At the time the Open Data movement growing and organizations where looking for ways to organize and publish their open their data. We saw the opportunity because publishing data for organizations was a challenge.
So I created a service for organizations to do so.
By creating a frontend and backend system for organizations to upload their datasets. A frontend created with Angular, and a frontend based on NodeJS with a postgresql backend.
We created a nice service, with initial clients Municipality The Hague and Cordaid. We created integrations with standards such as IATI and linked data standards.
We created a nice service, but unfortunately we decided to stop with the development. It appeared that the market was not ready yet.
